You may have heard that the Charities Act 2005(external link) (the Act) was amended by the Charities Amendment Bill(external link), which came into force on 5 July 2023.

In November we are holding webinars about the new governance review, the change to the officer definition and to give you an update about the reporting standards that you will need to use next year.  You can book into one or all three of the webinars below.

All the webinars will run from 12 - 1 pm, with a 30-minute presentation and then plenty of time to answer your questions. All our webinars are uploaded to the Charities Services YouTube channel(external link) so you can view them at any time.

Webinar - Governance review

Join this webinar to find out more about the new governance review that registered charities need to complete once every 3 years. We will discuss the new requirement, why it is important to review your governance and let you know where you can get help to improve the way you run your charity.

When the Charities Act changed last year, the definition of who is an officer of a registered charity changed. Join this webinar to find out what the new definition of an officer is and who may now be included. We will also discuss some of the duties of an officer of a registered charity.
